  • Types of financing options and lenders
  • Factors to consider when evaluating financing options
  • Ways to improve your chances of getting a loan, including building a strong personal and business credit history, keeping accurate business records, and understanding the Five C’s of Credit
  • Ways to recognize and avoid small business fraud, scams, and cybersecurity risks

Presented by: Linda Williams serves the Dallas/Fort Worth District Office as an Economic Development Specialist. She joined SBA in 2001 and has also held positions as a loan specialist and as a lender relations specialist. Prior to joining SBA she held marketing and sales management positions in the publishing and health care industries. Earning a Master of Business Administration degree from Dallas Baptist University, she taught as an adjunct professor in the undergraduate business program. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington and is well known for her workshops and webinars for entrepreneurs.
